More About Me

In 2005, Joshua began studying a Bachelor of Business Management at the University of Queensland where he stumbled across a course called “Manageral Skills and Communication”. After getting his first taste of communication, he began to discover the many areas of communication in his own time. While his friends slammed down beers at college parties, he could be found reading books on emotional intelligence, persuasion, friendship, and confidence to name a few of the many communication-related subjects he explored.

At the age of 21, Joshua released his first book Communication Secrets of Making People Like You. “Some people see my age as a limitation,” says Joshua. “They then use what I teach, experience the results they’re after, and apologize for their judgment. There’s no better proof than that.”

Having graduated with his degree in 2007, he completely rewrote his first book and renamed it to Communication Secrets of Powerful People.

In August 2008, he founded the Australian company Tower of Power and launched towerofpower.com.au where he provides a free eNewsletter anyone can sign-up for to receive tips and techniques to build friends and influence people.

At the end of September 2009, he released his Big Talk book and Big Talkers multimedia training course to help shy people overcome their loneliness and frustrations from not knowing how to talk with strangers.

Joshua runs one-on-one bootcamps face-to-face around the world where he transforms any shy person into a confident, social person who easily makes friends.

He enjoys playing in the semi-professional basketball league of Australia where his height (and athletic skills) get put to good use.
